Last fall's leaked recording of city leaders allowed us to hear an actual back-room conversation, and it wasn't pretty. The audio once again raised the issue of the size of the city council and how we can best be represented by our city councilmembers. A proposed change in city council size will soon be on the ballot, so now is the time to get educated about the potential pros and cons of different sizes and configurations and, as individuals and neighborhood councils alike, to weigh in on that proposal.

So join these experts to help us think through this complex topic. Come with your questions and ideas!

Afterward, we'll talk with residents of the Vista Hermosa community in Echo Park about the idle and orphaned oil wells in their neighborhood and the dangers they present. Our energy committee is working with them to get a resolution. (And we want to thank Sunrise Movement LA for connecting us!)

Please spread the word! Here are our posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

A recording of the event is on our YouTube channel here.

Will you come?
